Poke'dex:
Known for the pain it gives to its trainers, Thornum lets its sharp thorns do the talking. Since it evolves from unhappy and mistreated Budew, Thornum uses its new form to let its trainer know its time to shape up or get some serious pain.

Wild Thornum are extremely rare. If a trainer should encounter one, watch out! Not only are they tough to handle once captured, they are extremely bitter in battle. An attempt to capture a wild Thornum could result in serious physical injury to yourself or your poke'mon!

Evolution Method:
When the poke'mon Budew has a distasteful personality, usually due to irresponsible training, it will evolve into Thornum when levelled up at night if its Personality Value is > 4.

Okay, so I got this great idea from Darkmaster09's contest for Gender Fakemon. The concept is to take a poke'mon that evolves and has a very gender-specific look, and create and alternate evolution for that poke'mon that has the look and appeal of the opposite gender. Since Roselia and Roserade are so female looking, I thought this would be the perfect poke'mon to tackle!

I noticed Roselia has three thorns incorporated into its head, so I thought emphasizing on that, rather than roses, would result in a more masculine, deadlier looking poke'mon.

If I get the okay from Darkmaster09 I'll go ahead and enter an evolution stage of Thornum. But if I don't get the go-ahead, you'll have to wait until after the contest is over to see Roserip! (yes, it brings back the rose, but still has lots of thorns to celebrate ^.^)

If you've read the description for my poke'mon "Muffinite" than you know I'm toying with the idea of a Feeding System for poke'mon. If you've read the description for Pitchifet, my evolution of Wobbuffet, than you know Pitchifet evolves from a Wobbuffet traded holding a "Thorny Splinter".

If you haven't guessed it after reading that, Thornum, when fed the right foods, will yield a "Thorny Splinter", allowing you to evolve Wobbuffet into Pitchifet. ^.^
